Hello Team,
We're SAP partner & learning how to build up applications on SAP HANA Cloud platform. Via this open sap course, we get to know that SAP provides many data center, some are hosted on 3rd party Cloud providers like Microsoft, Amazon, or Google. Many other data centers are hosted by SAP.
We wonder if SAP has built Cloud infrastructure by themselves? Or the hired the infrastructure from a 3rd party infrastructure service provider but didn't mention?
The answer question is important for us so that we can consult we customer who want to run applications on SAP HANA Cloud platform. I did some searches on Internet but found no official document regarding this topic.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Victor
Hi Victor
SAP does indeed run data centers. However, SAP Cloud Platform is also available in Google, Microsoft and Amazon data centers. This is what's known as SAP's multi-cloud strategy. Specifically, the Cloud Foundry environment of SAP Cloud Platform is available in those partner data centers. Neo, the original SAP Cloud Platform environment, is only available in SAP's own data centers.
Adding to this, a private edition of SAP Cloud Platform running on IBM Cloud was announced at the SAPPHIRE NOW conference a short while ago.
You can read more about the SAPPHIRE NOW announcements here.
You can find more information about SAP's own data centers here.

Morten
