Dear Experts,
Is it possible to register another SQL Server Instance to the SLD?
Here is my condition :
I have installed SQL 2012 and SAP B1 Server. And everything works just fine. I can logon to company database, etc.
Next, I installed new SQL Instance (SQL 2014), Now I can connect my SQL Management Studio to this instance using "\SQL2014" suffix after the computer name.
Now my question is : How to register the new Instance? Is it possible?
I have tried to register using "\SQL2014" suffix, but the connection still failed. Please help, I needed both the SQL 2012 and 2014 instance.
Thanks,
Rinaldi
Try adding the port at the end: SAP-PC\SQL2014:1442

I am also having the same problem with an SAP HANA instance. So if anyone has any experience with this please advise on how to proceed.
