LSMW Long Text for multiple lines - Text ID ?

Hi forum-ers,

I have a doubt to clear on the example that i found online regarding the migration / uploading of long text for 'Material Master' with multiple PO items. It is using LSMW - direct input method:

Object 0001 Long text

Method 0001 (No selection)

Program Name /SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_IMPORT_TEXTS

Program Type D Direct Input

For the example given, in step (maintain field mappings and conversion rules) the header and items structure source fields are mapped accordingly to the target fields:

Structure: Header

OBJECT -> 'MATERIAL'

NAME -> 000001346041002000 (material no)

ID -> 'BEST'

SPRAS -> 'E'

Structure: Items

TEXTFORMAT -> '*'

TEXTLINE -> Long text

Can anybody clarify why 'BEST' is mapped to the Text ID target field? Where is it derived from? Thanks in advance.

      Hi,

      Thanks for the tips above, i have tried on uploading long text for material PO items and it works.

      Do you have any idea what 'object' and 'textID' i should use for uploading long text of operation description for general task list (T-Code: IA06) ?
