Placing ODBC Connections in the server using Crystal Reports Server 2008

We are having difficulty determining how/where to put ODBC connections on the server using Crystal Server 2008 (Linux). The help document says there should be a "Universe" in the Organized section of the CMC Home Page however there isn't one listed. Where or how do you do this? We have posted a Crystal Report in the folders but when trying to run it, the error is "Failed to open the connection"
