ESS Salary Statement / Payslip Performance Issue

Hi,

We are having performance issues with the ESS Salary Statement displayed in the portal when there is a default printer assigned other than LOCL in the backend ERP user master data. When the printer assigned is LOCL or if there is no printer assigned, it takes about 3-4 seconds but if other printer is assigned, it takes about 20 seconds to render the Salary Statement PDF in the portal. The Salary Statement is a custom SmartForm that has been copied from the standard and developed on the backend ERP system..

SAP HR 6.00 SP 29

EA-HR 600 SP 29

Front-end

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SP Stack 15

SAP NetWeaver Portal SP15

Self Services: SAP ESS 600 SP 13 and SAP PCUI_GP 600 SP 13

Portal Content: BP ERP05 ESS 1.0 SP 13, BP ERP Common Parts 1.2 SP0
