ESS Salary Statement / Payslip Performance Issue

Hi,

We are having performance issues with the ESS Salary Statement displayed in the portal when there is a default printer assigned other than LOCL in the backend ERP user master data. When the printer assigned is LOCL or if there is no printer assigned, it takes about 3-4 seconds but if other printer is assigned, it takes about 20 seconds to render the Salary Statement PDF in the portal. The Salary Statement is a custom SmartForm that has been copied from the standard and developed on the backend ERP system..

Below are the version details of all components involve:

Backend:

SAP ERP 6.0 SP Stack 13

SAP HR 6.00 SP 29

EA-HR 600 SP 29

Front-end

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SP Stack 15

SAP NetWeaver Portal SP15

Self Services: SAP ESS 600 SP 13 and SAP PCUI_GP 600 SP 13

Portal Content: BP ERP05 ESS 1.0 SP 13, BP ERP Common Parts 1.2 SP0

Can someone please help us on this?

Hello Erwin,

I am facing a bit similar issue...Payslip in ESS is getiing displayed in landscape where as in R3 it is coming in potrait.

We need to display it in potrait in ESS as well.

Is there any specific place where changes need to bedone?

How do I find out the scripts being used to print.

Any clues on the same is highly appreciated.
