Re-use OF SCRAP

Dear Experts,

If say i have planned for fixed quantity for scrap, in BOM.

But practically scrap produced is varying some time may be more or Less than the planned Quantity.

How can i map this scrap and how can i Reuse this scrap in other Order.

Please suggest..

Regards

    Hi,

Based on your past history you can arrive the scrap percentage. This can be changed periodically based on the need. If you maintain the scrap percentage more and the actual scrap is less means you will be having lot of inventory in the shop floor. Later you can post this in to the actual stock while doing the physical stock verification.

    • Hi Suresh,

      Thanks,

The scrap Percentages can be changed as of required..But in practical Operations due to labour efficiency..scrap varies..

Since i want to reuse this scrap..can i go for Bi-product.

Suppose my Procurement is In ton, In BOM also i am Using 1 ton and scrap produced is 100 kg. can i refer this scrap as Bi-Product since i can again use it in some other Order. .

      Please suggest.

      Regards
