Pick Strategy - "M" - does not take material from different storage types

Hi All!

I have read a lot of topics on the forum, and I can not solve my problem before setting up a remove strategy "M".

I made the next settings for the MG-003 material.

When I create TO to Outbound delivery for 10 quantity = pallet or less than 10 quantity TO generates good.

But when I trying to create TO for more than 10 quantity (for example 11) system do not separate this quantity for 1 and 10.

And display next message "System cannot find source bin".

Please help me understand, what the problem?

Master data:

LE quantity: 10 CS -> E1 SUT; 9 CS -> ZZ SUT.

Storage type 012: rounding quantity = 10; control quantity = 0

Storage type 014: rounding quantity = 0; control quantity = 9

Is it possible to configure a combination for three Storage types?

For example 29 qty = 2 pallets by 10qty (007)+ 2 boxes by 4 qty(105) + 1qty(201)?

I try to configure a combination for this STyps and it does not work.

I remember trying something like this several years ago (3 different SUT - e.g. E1 - europallet; HP - half pallet, ZZ - Nonfull), but I was not able to get it working. If memory serves, I was unable to determine the 3rd SUT automatically, so that I can trigger search like I wanted. Still, at that time I was junior, so I might have missed something in standard configuration.

It looks to me as if the user had changed his requirement in the middle of the discussion "..be picked as a whole from the fixed bin and if not pick it all from bulk (so the complete 346)"

And so he finally got the result that you also have, only the complete quantity of the TO is picked from either storage type depending on the control quantity.

All storage types with a control quantity will only allow a goods issue equal or less to the control quantity.

You either need an 3rd storage type in your search sequence, which uses a different picking strategy (e.g. FIFO) , which is taken if the the requested quantity is above the control quantity

or

you not to remove the picking strategy M from storage type 007 along with removing the control quantity from material master storage type view for storage type 007.

About 3td storage type I'm not sure. I only need to separate required quantity on the full pallet and some pieces.

So StType "201" it is normally configured but "007" must be changed?

I need to remove "Control quantity" or not? If I remove it error message still there.

If you have only 201 and 007 storage types then 201 is the storage type for the small quantities and 007 the storage type for the large quantities.

Because of this fact 007 must not have the picking strategy M and no control quantity.

I did what you said - I removed control quantity for ST(007) and enter the picking strategy "F", but then all required quantity (11) gives from StType "007".

This is what the strategy M is supposed to do.

I guess you assume that your required quantity 11 will be split by the control quantity and you expect that 10 are picked from storage type 201 and the remaining 1 from storage type 007. No that is not how this strategy works.

I was thinking what full pallet will be picking from SType 007 and all other what less than full pallet from SType 201. So what you can me recommend - create some user exit for this?

There is also a picking strategy A Partial Pallet Quantity

However, there is no strategy which will split your TO quantity, I am not even sure you can achieve this with an own strategy. You rather would need to split the quantity earlier, like it is with the quantities for putaway via the palletization, you would need individual items for the partial pallet and the full pallets before the system starts with bin determination.

We do not know your stock situation to evaluate if you have enough stock in both storage types

The TO has a log for bin determination in the environment menu, what info do you see there?
