Budget control system

Hi ,

My client requirment is that project systems which is to be checked budget control and availability in Budget control systems.

Can you please update what are the FM account assignments are required. i.e.Fund center , commitment items and fund and grants.

And also update me how to map to BCS.

hi experts,

I have probelm in BCS that i am able to budget document in FM ( FMBB). It getting posted. The probelm is that it not updating FMAVCT, FMBDT and FMBDP tables due to this system not allowing me to post FI document.

When i run report FMAVCR01 , not able to see values.

Can some one advise me where the probelm is.

Hi floks,

My question is that my client is using two budgets one is for Project systems and another is Budget control systam.

All project system budget maintaining at PS level and all indirect expenses budget is maintaining at BCS ( Budget control system)

the probelm is that when giving PO for acquire project material system ask for commitment budget in FM level ( BCS level) where we are n't maintaing budgets for CAPEX material in BCS.

If we are doing budget at PS and BCS what are the implecations we are going to face. Can any one explaing in detail.

Hi,

PS budget and FM budget are independent modules and they are not corelated. This means that if you acctivate both, the budget will be checked, according to the configuration you will do, in both systems.

Thank you verymuch for your reply. And my doubts are as follows when PS and BCS budget are activated. Details are as follows :

1. When i am creating PR & PO in MM moudule is system checks for budget in FM or not

2.similar activities are carried our other modules how to ignore in FM area.

Hi,

For the first question, the answer normally is yes, but it highly depends on the configuration you did. You can configure the system in the way, so these documents won't affect FM. The second question is unclear.

Hi,

When you activate FM, fund centre and commitment item are mandatory. All other assignments could be activated depending on the business requirements. BCS is a system to manage budget documents and availability control. What do you mean by 'map to BCS'?
