Hello,
As part of EC Service Center implementation, we have come across a requirement where certain data needs to be copied from Employee master to Ticket i.e. transaction. This is needed for reporting purpose so that if there is change in employee master then transactional reporting is not impacted.
For ex: We want to copy Department field from Employee to Ticket so that if employee switches department then the ticket remains linked to earlier department.
Is it possible to achieve this requirement via rules or workflows? Or only via SDK
Regards,
RG
Hello
If I understand your requirement, the expectation is that when an address information of the Employee is changed, then the corresponding information is not changed in the transaction documents, which had been created in the past.
If this is a case, then there is a Business Configuration Question, which can help you achieve this behavior.
Under Business Configuration -> Questions -> Business Partner Changes in Business Documents

Hi Viswa,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked this question and seems it only concerns the name and address data of Business Partner. We need updated address and name to reflect in transaction but the requirement is to not allow the changes for Division and Department field only. These are custom fields we have created under Personal Details and replicated from EC to C4C.
Regards,
RG
