ESS configuration

I started implementing ESS configuration for HR system.

I found two issues:

first issue at the time of system object creation:

I have created 3 system objects :

1.SAP_R3

2.SAP_ITS_XSS

3.SAP_Webdynpro_XSS

while performing connection tests,i encountered the following error in its-connection:

An HTTp connection to 199.103.20.153:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui was not obtained successfully;this might be due to a closed port on the firewall.

I tried to activate its through SICF transaction.but i was not able to do.The page cannot be displayed error is seen.even i entered the log on credentials through logon tab.

for this to work,how to open the HTTP port?

second issue at the time of Maintaining JCO destinations:

I successfully created all the 10 JCO destinations.All are in green colour and tested them successfully.ping is also sucess for all.but i encountered the following runtime exception:

1.Exception while getting Jco Clients failed to get list of defined Jco clints for deployable object 'sap.com/caf_eugp_croomwd'.

2.Exception while getting Jco Clients failed to get list of defined Jco clints for deployable object 'sap.com/caf_euer_uico~km'.

How solve this exceptions.

Roja,

instead of ip address try to give host name abd run this fm RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET to get WAS details and see whether it works or not

thank you Bala,

I have replaced the ip address with the host name.domain address.but the result is same.while doing its connection test of the system object,it is giving the same error ,

an http connection to http://sapcrm.companyname.com:8100/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui was not obtained successfully;this is due to closed port on the firewall.

I have tested theRSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET FM,it is working fine.

I need further clarification from you.

are you able to test the webgui Service successfully?

hi Rajendra,

I am not able to do testservice webgui in SICF.already it is in active state .If i do testservice ,it gives me 'Page can not be displayed error'.Even i tried to give logon credentials through logon Tab.How to overcome the 'page cannot be displayed error'.

Can you go to SMICM and confirm that ICM Status is Running.

I have published the 3 services,SYSTEM,

WEBGUI,

IAC to the internal site.Is any thing done in the BASIS side.

if i try to activate through test service in SICF , i am not able to get the web page.
