Can I do a manual call on just ONE maintenance item # on a multi-item maintenance plan?

Hi,

One of your SAP users is having an issue that I'm trying to help resolve for them. I've not been able to find a solution to their problem.

"Need to know if its possible in SAP Plant Maintenance to do a manual call on just ONE maintenance item # on a multi-item maintenance plan. For example, I have a maintenance plan # 1001 that has 99 task list items on it, varying in intervals from daily to annually, and one of those task lists maint items is # 567, I want to manually call just that 567 item to generate a work order tomorrow. I know if I were to create a maintenance plan for every task list, this would not be a problem, but my maintenance plans have many task lists on them and I cannot figure out how to manually call just ONE of them and not any others on that maintenance plan."

Hi Kyle,

Manual call in IP10 does not ask for item but only the package(s) you want to call. If an item has that package, then it generates the object.

Instead of manual scheduling, why don't you create order manually for that equipment, and assign task list to that order? After you assign the task list you can remove the irrelevant operations if you do not want the whole package.

Follow the below path to assign the Task list for existing work order

Order menu -> Extras -> Task List Selection and assign the required task list...

Thank you for your reply.

I showed the client what you recommended and they said "I do not know HOW to assign an existing task list to a new work order. I do an IW31 to create the order but don't see how I assign the existing task list."

What do you advise I tell them?
