about UDF

Hi experts,

I created several UDFs(in title) for different marketing documents. there's always a problem. for example, when I new a sales quotation, I only want to see the UDF related to quotation. others are useless for quotation. Can I hide the useless UDF? or Can I sort the UDF to make them group?

thanks...

Hi,

You could create different categories and group the required udf's using these categories by

going to Tools -> User defined fields -> Settings and select the required category in the marketing documents.

Note that this grouping has to be done for each user, it cannot be done as a global update for everyone.

Hi experts,

Regarding the same issue, where can i find table that store the setting of each UDF.

ie. there are 3 categories of UDF which contains 2-3 UDF, some is set as visible(Y) and some is set as invisible(N). how can i find the table that keep the setting

Hi,

I have the same problem: does anybase know the table where UDF settings (for category and users) are stored?

I tried also with SQLProfiler but the only table used in queries is CUDC (the list of categories).

Thanks a lot,
