How to deactivate profit center

HI,

How to deactive the profit center in which alot transactions has been posted.because of we created to profit center , as per new profit center we are doing trail balance and P&L and Balance sheet.if it is possible to do profit center deaction ,pl.give me steps need to be carried out.

Hello,

Please note that if you have posted transaction data (actual or planned) on a Profit Center, the same cannot be deleted during the fiscal year. It can only set to delete in the beginning of next fiscal year, provided, if there is no transaction data exists on the profit center for the next fiscal year.

You have the other option for this fiscal year. You can shorten the validity period of the profit center for this fiscal year, so that nobody can use the profit center during the year.

Make sure that in 1KE4 all the assignment of OLD profit center to other objects like materials, cost centers and internal orders are being changed to new profit center.

In the next year beginning put the OLD profit center "Mark for deletion" (make sure that there is no transaction data exists in the NEXT FISCAL YEAR)

Hi,

in KE52 change the validity period , you can find profit center in deactive mode.

i have once again checked in my SAP sytem and confirmed u.
