How to deactivate profit center

HI,

How to deactive the profit center in which alot transactions has been posted.because of we created to profit center , as per new profit center we are doing trail balance and P&L and Balance sheet.if it is possible to do profit center deaction ,pl.give me steps need to be carried out.
