Hi,

Has anyone in the Community used the Work Manager or any other Agentry based app such that the mobile user was not an employee but rather a Contractor. In my case, my organisation has outsourced the maintenance activities to third parties. They engage technicians as needed and assign the work orders to them. We want to enable Mobile Asset Management via SAP Work Manager app but its configuration requires an SAP user account and personnel ID. This can't be assigned in our case as they are external staff doing the work on behalf of our contracted partner. Has anyone else tackled a similar issue?

HI Mark, In this case, even if we create group logon and GeneralContractor_A user ID. Wouldn't WorkManager allow only single login at the same time with this user ID?

Would each of your contracted partner have one account or their own individual contractor account?

This is being asked just in case, you can create a global ID for said contractor (Example: GeneralContractor_A - which maps to dealing with that company). Then utilize the SAP Work Manager Group Logon criteria may work here.

For example: I create a GeneralContractor_A username and assigned this to all dealings with Company A contractor. I give them a user authority to just used and work on Work Manager. I would give them that username and a general password.

This could be one technique.

Now for further customization, you can have a drop down of contractor names that you can create a table for so if they accesses this GeneralContractor_A login, inside the Work Manager app - provide them a drop down to select their names from the list.

Of course all of this is custom and it is possible to be done.
