HI,

I think by backend you mean the tables which form the part of the cube and DSO??

for that you will have to understand how the cubes and DSOs are built.

just go to SE16 and put the cube name and give the star on both sides and press F4...it will give you all the dimnesion table and fact table names for the cube and similarly for DSO you will get the name of change log,new table and active table name.

Thanks

Ajeet

Hi all,

I've a table name /BIC/AZ2WC1AI040 and I need to locate the name of this DSO. I've tried using the tables RSDODSOTABL and RSDODSO. It is listing out the names of the DSOs but not the technical names. I've used Find all option also but could not get any thing from there.

Like BAPI_CUBE_GETDETAIL do we have any BAPI to get the details of a DSO from its activated technical name (/BIC/AZ2WC1AIO40 in this case).

Please advise.

Thank you.

Pavan.

Hi Pawan,

The naming convention is made including the name of the DSO inside the table name, so in your case, the name of the DSO is "Z2WC1AI0" the first characters /BIC/A means that it is a customer defined DSO  (if it were /BI0/A then it would be the bi content dso) and the last characters can be "00" or "40". ""00" refers to active table "40" refers to new data table.

Hi Arun,

You can always find the cube tables through Tcode LISTSCHEMA.

For DSO tables, you can search the tables name in either SE11/SE16 by giving <DSO technical name>

Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Hi Arun,

Go to SE16 and enter * CUBE_NAME/ODS_NAME * -> F4.

This will give u the dimension or fact table names for the cube.

For ODS it will give you the New,Active,Change Log tables.

Hope this helps.......

Apeksha.
