Using Processing Groups for Input Ready Sources

Former Member

Hi All

I am building a planning application using DS1.6 will multiple (12) queries of which a number (8) are input ready. When grouping these in processing groups I am receiving the message that "Data sources assigned to processing groups cannot be set to input-enabled."

I cannot find reference to this limitation in any documentation on processing groups in Design Studio. Has anybody found a way around this limitation, or know how it can be circumvented?

Hi Neil,

Were you able to find a way out for doing parallel execution of planning queries ?

Thanks,

Hi Neil,

You cannot use planning functions on data source loaded in parallel. Where to write data back to BW the datasource must be connected through a single connection (Sequential connection), but when you use the parallel processing groups the data sources are loaded in parallel through multiple connections.

It is been given in the Design studio What's new user guide. Check page no 13 in the guide below

Hi - I am not using planning; when I searched the notes this one came back: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2307439/E

Could you try applying the patch and see what happens?
