Movement 309 in total consumption - how to remove?

All,

Found out recently that a movement 309 done through MB1B is showing up in total consumption in the MM02 forecast tab consumption button. Also showing up in MCBA. This consumption has a quantity but not a $ value. The MB1B is being used to move inventory between material numbers and batches.

Because of economic downturn, we are paying much more attention to consumption of raw materials on a weekly basis. We were hoping one of the two above would be good to show true consumption, but since the 309 movement is not really consumed, we are getting values that are too high.

I was hoping for direction on if/how to configure the system so that the 309 movement is not part of the "consumption".

I have searched multiple message boards and have found many explanations of what the 309 movement is and how to code in a program or how to configure a new movement type, but not how to configure as I think I need.

Thanks for your time,
