I want to know what is a time type?

i need QADB on time management if somebody can provide me.

Hi Preeti,

Table T555a is to define time type, here we create the time type as required by the business.the best practice is to copy the standard time type and rename as required unless untill if there is a special scenario by the business, why because the standered grouping 01 has standard settings.

while creating the time type we need to define whether we need the day balance or monthly balance where we need to select the options which was provided by the sap.

in our technical language we called it as ZES and Saldo.

Table T555z is used in Positive time management (TM00)

this table speaks about time identifiers and pair types. please find the details of the time identifiers which will set by the system automatically.

01 = Overtime, unapproved (outside of planned working time)

02 = Fill time (during planned working time, without core times)

03 = Core time

04 = Core time break

05 = Fill time break

06 = Paid break

07 = Unpaid overtime break (infotype 2005)

08 = Paid overtime break (infotype 2005)

09 = Overtime break

Second important thing in this table is pair types.

There are 4 pair types in T555z

PAIR TYPE 1 (ONSITE) 2011 RECORD

PAIR TYPE 2 2001 RECORD

PAIR TYPE 3 (OFF SITE) 2002 RECORD

PAIR TYPE 0 Unrecorded Absence

T555Z we use time type determination group as 01 for time evaluation TM00.

So u mean time type is same as time pair. I am bit confused if different what is difference.

why schema TM04 is used both for positive and negative time management.

I had opened a another thread about time management . I think u can answer that questions of mine too
