How to convert open office excel file into internal table

Hi all ,

In our company recently we have converted ourselves from MSEXCEL to openoffice excel .

i have created program to convert msexcel data to itab using fm (ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE). But now it is not working with open office .

Does any one know which function module will convert open office data into itab or how can i convert openoffice excel data into internal table .
