Hi all,
i m fresher SAP basis consultant....wants to know the basic diffrence between client and system copy..
Hi,
A client Refresh is where you copy the client depenant configuration and or Data (Depending on the Profile being used) from one client to another client. The source client could be a client on the same system or a client on a different system. (Same Version of SAP).
If the source and target clients are on the same system Tx SCCL is used to perform a Local Client copy. If the Source and Target clients are on different systems you can use the following methods:
Remote Client copy Tx SCC9 (Normally for Small to medium Clients)
Client Export Usinf Tx SCC8 to export the client date then TMS to import the client data and Tx SCC7 to complete the process.
A system Refresh is where you perform a Homogenous System copy. The Targes and source systems will be equal as far as Clients are concerned. This process is fully described in the System copy guide.
