Is it possible to set a limit on the number of records (e.g. the top results) returned by a Data Source based on a universe?
I’ve looked at some of the previous posts, and while there has been discussion pertaining to the maximum number of records from a Data Source that Design Studio can handle (https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3461935), I haven’t seen any explicit discussion about limiting the number of records returned by a data source.
The only suggestion I’ve seen is to set a result-set limit on the universe itself, as described here, which is less than ideal: http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=190532&sid=fef68bbc8c8972cfd01e64b86225e35d.
Thank you in advance.
One suggestion to a related question is to make use of ranking in the data-source query construction, mentioned here: http://answers.sap.com/answers/54289/view.html, albeit it has a few potential drawbacks, as discussed in: http://answers.sap.com/answers/54688/view.html.
