Currently, when we do a 651 movement into the returns stock type, no accounting documents are created. We would like to change this so that the stock is valued at the time that it is received back into our plant, so we need an accounting document to be created. How can this be accomplished?
Is it possible to change the movement type to the returns stock type in some way so that it is valued when you bring it into inventory? There is currently no value string for 651 movements. Does anyone know where this is set?
That's what I was afraid of. We had planned on using blocked stock (rather than returns stock), but there is something in our configuration for the returns process that is causing another problem if we change to the movement type to go into blocked stock. After we changed this to go into blocked stock, our service notification no longer created a returns sales order. Would you have any idea why that would occur?
