Regarding Download to Local File in ALV

Hi,

I am using the Method "set_table_for_first_display" for displaying ALV output.And using the total and sub total Functionality by using standard ALV functionality for calculating the Currency amount,it is calculating but while downloading with sub total(Using Standard functionality) it is giving dump saying that"Overwriting the protected field". with out subtotal it is downloading properly.

For displaying the amount as currency wise i am using the

wa_fieldcat-cfieldname = 'WAERS'. could you please suggest me how to elimanate this problem.

hi,

make sure that whatever ur downlaoding to an excel sheet should be character type.if u want to display subtotal,put this into character and display.other data type will throw dump
