Transporting MDMGX configurations

Hi ,

We have setup MDMGX configurations involving :

a) Object type

b) Repository and FTP Server

c) Ports and check tables

d) Start extraction - Variants set in generic extractor for each check table extraction setup.

We have to now transport the entire configuration from existing environment to another environment . Please advise which are the transportable configurations and the method to be followed for transporting them.

Hi Vinay,

Transportation would be same as for other objects. When ever you save the changes it will ask for the Transport Request, save all the configurations in one request and transport that request. At the target system when you import the request from the source system, all the configurations will be available in target system as well.

Hi Jitesh,

For a given System type,Object type - We have configured around numerous ports (around 70ports). Each of the port config is saved as a variant . Now , only a set of selected ports along with their variant settings need to be transported. Can we achieve this and how we achieve this ? Please advise.

While we are creating a Transport request all the port configs are getting selected for transport.
