network activity was not released (REL) even when parent/upper object was set to release

Hi,

May I know the root cause why some network activities were not released even when it's parent object (example: WBS since our activities was assigned to that) was released?

I have searched through several questions and they are telling me that it is a normal system behavior. But I wanted to know when and what are the factors why this happens.

We have lots of WBS created per project and it will be very time consuming if we will check each WBS which has an unreleased network activity.

A thorough explanation is all I need. Thank you in advance.

Please provide screenshots of your situation where you have a REL WBS but an assigned NWA is not REL.

if you set rel since Level 1 wbs then system will release all hierarchy project objects.

as Ken said its in creation phase so save that activity it will automatically get rel status.

The second screen shot is of a Network and Activities in the creation phase and haven't been saved yet (see the number starting with %). Save it and it will be released.

Hi Ken!

Sorry, here they are:

Project Definition Level is already released by the way.

Just to make sure that newly created program’s network IDs (before saving) have CRTD status and were not automatically released.
