Dear Experts,

I made daily maintenance plan, and but its not generating SCHEDULED CALLED status , everythime i have to go in IP10 and manually saving the order.

Shift factor late completion - 100%

Tolerance plus - 5%

Shift factor early completion - 100%

Tolerance minus - 5%

Call horizon - 90%

Scheduling Period - 365 days

Scheduling Indicator - TIME.

Pl suggest.

Hi,

You have to set Call horizon - 0% then it will generate according to the scheduled date immediately.

Do the changes & try it.

Dear Ripel

You need to take Deadline monitoring program run IP30 to generate the work order from plan. You can also set the program run automatically in backgraound daily. Before taking the run for this deadline monitoring program status of scheduled call is Saved to Call After taking the dead line program run it changes to *Scheduled called* . Basically this program opens the plan in schedule mode & save it.

Also set the plan parameter as below.

Shift factor late completion - 100%

Tolerance plus - 0%

Shift factor early completion - 100%

Tolerance minus - 5%

Call horizon - 90%

Scheduling Period - 365 days

Scheduling Indicator - TIME

Completion confirmation-tick the check box.

Hi Makrand,

Tell me the exact process to have preventive orders daily through IP30, please explain in detail via considering the upper parameters mentioned by me.

I want to recheck whether i am correct or not as i am doing the process.

Rip,

Go to IP30 transaction and enter the selection parameters like maintenance plan numbers, cataegory, sort field, strategy etc. which ever applicable. Mostly, the plan numbers are used as selection parameters.

Then select the number of days for that you want the system to generate the maintenance orders, say 100 days. Then execute. Now system will generate orders whose planned dates fall in these 100 days.

Please open the transaction IP30. Enter the Plan Range or the Plans list for which you want to take the dead line monitoring program at maintenance Plan field. Or you can enter the maintenance plan category.

Also enter the Interval for Call Object as 1 day as you want to take it as daily.

Then Click the save button. This will bring you on create variant screen. Save the varient with some name.

Then go to Program---> Execute in Background. You can take the help of your basis guy to set the transaction run in background on daily basis.

After making of maintenance plan i am referring ip10 and then doing ip30 with Interval for call as 1 day and 30 for monthly as told by you.

Dear Ripel,

After making Maintenance plan, you need to schedule it by giving start date to it. This can be achieved by IP10 transaction & pressing start button in IP10. That means you are doing the correct step of IP10 after creating tha maintenance plan.

The second steps of IP30 followed by you as per suggetion is correct.

As i am following the same process, as in ip10 i started my plan on 26/01/09 and when i run ip30 yesturday it shows SCHEDULED CALLED for 29.01.09, why this happens and my call horizon is 90%. and mentioned 365 in plan.

Dear Ripel,

What is plan type you are using? What is the planned date for that call object?

i mean to say whether it is single cycle plan ( if it is single cycle please tell me what cycle set you are using?).

If you are using Strategic time based plan, then what maintenance package you have assigned to operation?

Dear Ripel,

Maintenance order creation i.e. Schedulled/New start called is depends on cycle & its unit along with call horizon.

As above you said you have created plan for daily basis with 90% call horiozon.

It means you will get order generated on daily basis provided that you schedule the plan either with IP10 or IP30.

You might have entered 365 Days in scheduling period on scheduling data. It shows only planned dates for whole 365 days nothing else.

Pls chk once again cycle & its unit, call horizon, scheduling period & start date.

Dear Ripel,

If you are using the single cycle plan with 1 day cycle and 0 offset & starting the plan at 26/01/2009 the planned date for first call generated should be 27.01.2009, second call 28/01/2009 & so on...

if you are giving the planned date 26.01.2009 today then it will schedule the call from 27.01.2009 & status of call on 28.01.2009 to 29.01.2009 is _Scheduled Save to call._ & for others call object is it is Scheduled Hold for 27.01.2009 it is New start Save to call .

When you take the IP30 run for such scheduled plan. You will get three orders for first three call as all three days call are due. The plan may be given you three orders for three different call number till today as you have scheduled the plan before threedays & cycle set assigned for 1day.

Sorry for late

I schedule plan on 26.01.09 as i said last day but today it showing me SCHEDULE SAVE TO CALL, even though i followed all the procedure told by me.

So may be i am making mistake in IP10 & IP30, so elaborate that steps deeply plz, that will be good.

Please explain the background processing ip30 for daily & monthly automatic creation of order.
