Hi,'

We had to migrate from (Source):

1) OS: Windows NT

2) DB:MS SQL

3) SAP Application Server : SAP EHP7 ERP6

to (Target):

1)OS: SUSE LINUX

2)DB: SAP HANA2.0

3) SAP Application Server : SAP EHP7 ERP6

We have used SUM to migrate the DB and successfully migrated.

Now We have:

1) OS: Windows NT

2) DB: SAP HANA2.0

3) SAP Application Server : SAP EHP7 ERP6

Now we have to migrate our OS along with our SAP Application Server. We have followed some guides but lacking the step by step process and risks for performing this. Please help with some process we can follow.

Hi Tridwip,

Now We have:

1) OS: Windows NT

2) DB: SAP HANA2.0

3) SAP Application Server : SAP EHP7 ERP6

<= I think you mean SAP application server still on NT, but HANA is on SUSE.

Do you want to move SAP EHP7 ERP6 to another SUSE or same SUSE with HANA platform?

Best regards,
Candy

Hi Tridwip,

If your OS migration will be performed on a live system, SAP OS/DB Migration Check is mandatory. Please refer to this url for details: SAP OS/DB Migration Check

For general reference, you can see this blog for Database Migration Option (DMO) of SUM

Poonam

Thanks for your reply! I had already gone through the links you provided but they are not really helpful to the current scenario I am dealing with or may be I could not get enough of the second link! In the mean time I approached to the basis team with this issue and they are working on it. If I get any solution from them I will post that here. 🙂
