ESS - Employee Search

In advanced search options for "Who's Who", the selection fileds: Personnel Area, Personnel Subarea, Employee Group, Employee Subgroup are in numeric form. We want these fields in Text form, instead of numeric, as the users might not know the numeric codes to perform selection. 'Text' field are available in the 'Output', but not available for 'Selection/Search'. What is the solution?
