Using Standard WBS Element in Project Builder

I am trying to use standard WBS template to create my operative project in Project Builder. So when I drag and drop the standard wbs element onto my operative wbs element to include the structure, I encounter these two messages:

1. Information message - No authorization for Copy (Message no. JA037)

Diagnosis - You do not have authorization for activity Copy in progress analysis

2. Error message - Copy (standard) WBS structure is not possible (Message no. CJ097)

As a result of these exceptions, I don't see any standard WBS structure (elements) to replace in the next pop-up.

Has anyone come across through similar scenarios?

Issue solved.

The problem I had was we are using user exit CNEX0002 - PS Authorization Check. There is a function module EXIT_SAPLCNAU_002 to hide wbs levels from certain users based on your restriction criterion.

One thing you might want to notice here is the code you write here not only applies to operative wbs but also standard wbs. Make sure you are covering standard wbs here. It will work.

Ofcourse I executed SU53 but haven't found any Auth-Object missing information.

Does anyone have an idea if this is an authorisation issue.

SU53 does not tell me anything.

Actually i have seen same issue long back...it was solved by Person resp.

Hi

We are not using the Person Resonsble field in our solution as it is a project accounting rather than a project management solution.

Both the auth objects C_PROJ_VNR and C_PRPS_VNR are part of the role in question and both these auth objects have been configured with full authorisation.

Does anyone else have any other ideas.

Solved by including auth object S_TRANSLAT

When u get Authorisation error go in Transaction SU53.

Here you can see the missing authorisation object.

Correct the same in transaction PFCG for the required role.

Tell your Basis consultant to perform these steps after taking SU53 screenshot.

Ideally it should allow you to create via drag and drop. Just check that you have proper authorization to copy /create the operative / std. project and WBS. chekc via some dummy test in CJ91 and Cj20n.

If here you encounter with any error realted to Authorization consult to you Basis folk.
