Hi,
I have a small doubt..
If in a production scenerio my BOM is a multilevel and it consistef finished and semifinished produced inhouse and rawmaterial procured externally..
While creating a routing for finished good it is like i think we need to give the workcenter for the semifinished good ,then finished good ...since routing is a sequence of operation
But my FI consultant is telling that is if i give semifinished workcenter in the routing of finished good then the cost gets calculated double.
So my doubt is whether we need to give in routing of a finished good ,semifinished workcenters or not.

sravanthi
Dear,
You need to define the operation that required to manufacture the FERT.
Say 0010 0020...0050.
Suppose you have to manufacture the SFG first then create the routing for SFG with operation ( work center ) required to manufacture this SFG. Now from this SFG you need to manufacture the FERT then create the routing for this FERT material with operation ( work center ) required then define in it.
It will not cost double.
Just take a costing cun in CK11N and check the resut of costing.
Please come back if you have any issue.

Dear,
You need to assign the SFG work center to SFG routing where it is manufacture.
And for FERT you need to assign the work center where FERT is manufactured. no need to assign SFG work center in FERT, Because we already produced the SFG now we want to produce FERT only.
Hope clear to you.

Hi Sravanthi,
Can you please clarify what your FI consultant means by costs will be doubled?
From operational point of view, you need to specify the work center if some activity needs to be performed on those semi-finished items & from Financial perspective you need to capture the costs & thus would need the work centers.
If you need any further clarifications revert back.
If helpful award points

Vivek
