Confirmation in Production Order

Hello Guru,

in the production order "Confirmation of Production Order Display:Detail" can you explain me the difference of the field CREATED BY and ENTERED EXTERNALLY in the ADMINISTRATION tab:

where in CREATED BY it has (entered by and entered on)

while in ENTERED EXTERNALLY it has (created by and created on)

How this two filed been populated and differ?
