Standard Leave Request - WF Not Executed

Dear Friends,

When applying for leaves using the standard leave application, the WF is not executed. However the leave application is successfully posted (checked this by logging in as the approver in tcode PTARQ - Approve Leaves -- can see the application posted.)

Kindly suggest solution so i may be able to resolve the issue.
