Hi All,
When a user who is not a member of the Administrators group attempts to save a document opened in view mode to their Favorites folder the following error appears: Internal Error: the value of parameter folderId is invalid. (Error: INF ). The user can open the document in edit mode and successfully perform a "save as". Administrators can save normally. This must be a rights issue but I have come up empty searching the forums and notes.
This is a new installation with users and reports imported via a BIAR file from a XI2R3 system. .NET infoview.
Thanks for any assistance!
Don
UPDATE: This issue only effects the Favorites folders. Granting Full Control to Everyone at the personal folders root solves the problem. So an account must be able to "traverse" the top level folder to access it's Favorites folder below, similar to Windows security? (Users have Full Control to their Favorites folder and I have tried removing and reapplying this permission.) In my XIR2 installation the Everyone group has no rights to the root of Personal Folders.

I granted Everyone View Objects permission to Personal Folders root and applied to Object Only. This resolved the problem but doesn't seem secure. I am unable to access other users' Favorites folders as a regular user nor am I able to search other favorites folders. Can anyone confirm that this is ok security wise? Are your permissions for Everyone at the root of Personal Folders set to No Access???
Thanks,
Don
