Dear Gurus,

We have upgraded our system to windows 2008 64 bit from windows 2003 64 bit.

Now SAP system is not getting up and both message service and disp+work is stopped.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Also i need to know how to upgrade oracle 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4.

Thanks very much in advance

Windows 2008 requires a new kernel - what patchlevel of your kernel do you have installed?

check contents of files dev_w0, dev_disp and dev_ms

to upgrade to 10.2.0.4, check the README.HTML file that is on the upgrade CD.

      Hi Eric

Thanks very much for your response.

Actually i forgot to mention one thing in my question that I am unable to install oracle 10g on windows 2008 64bit system through sapserver.cmd script.

also i am not able to find the setup file for 10.2.0.4 patchset.

Can u please suggest me how to overcome this issue.

      thanks

      Hi

You can take the back up with db13 also. There is no problem in it.

But if you want to check the best option then please go with BRTOOLS.

You can back up and restore the database with ease.

Just run brtools and go through each and every option.
