Size grows by using images

Hello,

I have a form with dynamic subforms. Each subform has one or more images to show.

The images are included by the GRAPHIC node in the interface.

I have about 20-30 JPG images (5-10kB per image) included here. The form size without the images is 230kB.

so the form should have a size about 500kB. But when I generate the form, the size grows up to 1,2MB.

Why the images result that huge increase of the size?

Can I do something to decrease that size? (other graphic type (png, ...), other including technology, ...?)

I'm using Lifecycle Desinger 8.0 and Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.1.2
