Follow Up Material

Greetings to PP experts,

I am facing problem regarding material confirmation on production orders. As, some times i have to confirm a material on Order which is not part of BOM. And the the method i use is MB1A, via MVT 261. Problem is that, when i refer to COOIS or Co03 to check withdrawn Qty, it does not show the material confirmed via MB1A, however MB51 shown it properly.

Second problem with the method currently being used by me is that there is no control of RESERVATION number, i.e. there is no restriction over the units of material to be confirmed.

I wanna ask that, is there any way to confirm material in way that it could be controlled and reported in order information system (COOIS). [without changing BOM]

Hi Aslam,

It would be helpful for the forum members if you can rephrase your question as it is not clear what issue you're facing.

Based on what i understand, you're posting a 261 mvmt via MB1A for items which are not part of the production order, as in unplanned goods mvmt. of certain parts. If this is the case, then you need to first make an entry of these components in the production order & then post a 261 mvmt via MB1A. You will then be able to see the qty. withdrawn in co03 & COOIS, else you would not be able to.

If my understanding is not correct, please revert back.

Im sorry if my question is not clear.

Actually in my scenario, i need to confirm some materials on production order whcih are not part of BOM. And when i confirm such materials, i cant refer to reservation number (generated when production order is made, which contains all materials whcih are part of BOM). My question is that how should i confirm such materials.

Hi Tayyab Aslam,

Before Confirming the order, add the Material/Component (the one that is not included in BOM) in your Production Order's Material List. Then proceed normally. Only this time you can see the components in COOIS. Information System for the Prod Order deals with the components withdrawn WITH REFERENCE to the order.
