Inquiry Regarding Receiving of Alert Messages to SAP Business One

When two users is currently login in SAP Business One with the same usercode do both of them recieve the message?

They should both receive alert.

Ok. But what happens now is that user 1 receives the alert but user 2 don't receive any alerts.Take note they have the same usercode in SAP and they are both log in SAP Business One.

That is still normal because once the first session receive the alert, that alert status would be changed. Is it always the first log in user receive alert?

I already tried the scenario and only one user receive the alert. Is there something we can do about it?

You CAN log on twice by one user code in the same time. However, that not means you should take this advantage to use it for two users. One named user should be used for one person only. That is licensing policy.

So what is the cause of the problem why user 1 can't receive alert messages in SAP Business One with user 2 also connected with the same usercode?

Double log on to B1 is used most to facilitate user in completing some transactions that need two concurrent sessions. In those case, it dosen't matter for the second session to read alert message or not.

Yes. The alert messages are sent to the user. As long as anyone logged in as that user, the alert message would be triggered. However, it is not common to let more than one people use the same user code, it may violate the licensing policy.

Hi gordon,

But SAP allows 1 usercode to be used of two users. If this happens do all alert will be receive by the two users? As i have seen in my client, the message or alert is not sent to both users using the same code.
