error 4

hi,

i was loading data from a flat file into the info cube ,even the preview was displaying the right data but then i gave "error 4 while data load".

please help[ me with this....

Error 4 while updating " is a very common issue discussed in the forums . Please search the forums before posting.

Hi Sridhar,

check the data you are loading...because inconsistent data can cause these types of errors...also check if you are using ALPHA conversion for any of the infoobjects....if so either remove the ALPHA conv or remove the special characters if any.Also check the settings at RSKC and check if RSKC_ALL_CAPITAL is maintained or not.

Try using the TOUPPER function in the transfer rules and convert the values into uppercase.

In your preview have simulated the data load into one of the targets.......should have tried it you could even get an error msg there.

i did as u told to do...i checked the data and there is no conversion also...but it still gived the same error..
