Hello all

Sorry in advance for my English.

I have 2 question:

1. We buy and sell our products in meters, from now on we want to sell it by boxes.i want to add a udf in which i put the quantity of the boxes in every row.but i need also to be able to tell my customer that when he or she ask some meters, he\she'll going to get only more or less meters, in other words i need to round the quantity according to boxes.

2. We're managing our items with batches, we have 7 warehouses and we want to add the row in the warehouse of every items.

how can i do that without heaving problem with the PLD?as i heard that there isn't any field for it?

thx a lot

Refael

Hi,

In your question no. 1

You can user conversion in this manner, example from Purchasing Data tab:,

Purchasing Uom : box,

Items per Purchase Unit : 1,

Packaging UoM (Purchasing) : meter,

Quantity per Packaging UoM : 100 - quantity you like to add in how many meters in a box,

In inventory tab :

Inventory UoM : box - the inventory in case per box as what you want to be.

In question no 2.

You can add the UDF row at any time, in your PLD just add the UDF field. You dont have to problem with the PLD.

hi clint

thx for your answer!

" Purchasing Uom : box,

Items per Purchase Unit : 1,

Packaging UoM (Purchasing) : meter,

Quantity per Packaging UoM : 100 - quantity you like to add in how many meters in a box"

But i have some problems to implement that solution.

1. Once i have some inventory move of that item i cant change the purchase uom.

2. We sell ceramics, and a lot of the boxes have 1.44 m2 each, so when a client wants 150 meters, i can give him 104 boxes or 105 boxes. so i need to write down in the order 150 meters and to receive 104 boxes or 105 boxes according to my will. nevertheless i want sap b1 to be able to debit the customer for the quantity in meters he takes.

for the second answer

i need a UDF that can be put in the transport from one house ware to another .

thx again

HI,

For question no. 1

1. Correct you cant change the Uom.

No 2.

2. Regarding 104 or 105 you must be consistent if not create another Item no. for 104 and 105 box so that you can monitor it easily. Example :

" Purchasing Uom : box,

Items per Purchase Unit : 1,

Packaging UoM (Purchasing) : meter,

Quantity per Packaging UoM : 104 -

From the Inventory Data Tab , Inventory Uom = meter so that sap b1 to be able to debit the customer for the quantity in meters he takes.

Please created a new thread in the question, for the UDF question.

We cant handle multiple question and for purpose reference for other members.

Note : Kindly specify a more descriptive in writting a Subject,

regards,

Clint
