Custom IT Creation - Generate screens?

Hi all,

I have created my custom IT sucessfully using PM01. I do not like the look of the Single Screen that was generated. My question is: If I make changes to the Single Screen, could they be wiped out if someone regenerates the objects for this custom IT in the future? If so, what would be the correct step to avoid this? Create my own Single Screen with my modifications?

Hi

You can very well create your own screen and assign the same using feature

P and infotype number. For example if you have created a custom infotype of 9000.

Feature would be P9000 assign the same.

But is that what SAP recommends doing if you want to change the generated screens from a custom IT? Create your own screen and then modify it?
