VA02 POP UP

Hello All

I have sales order with only one item and it is saved

Whenever i go to VA02 transaction there is a pop up that the header business data doesnot apply to item 000010

Detailed analysis is this

The header business data does not apply to item 000010

Message no. V1403

Diagnosis

You have changed business data at header level. The changes are normally transferred to all items. However one item has been found, in which the same data field has already been changed in relation to the field. Therefore, the changes cannot be transferred from the header to this item.

Procedure

Please check whether item 000010 should also be changed and carry out the changes if necessary.

I would like to know from where this pop up is coming?

In VOV7 for my item category business data check box is unticked

Hi

Please don't try that in the same sales order. Observe the functionality of this field BUSINESS DATA by making changes in in two different sales order. Use a different sales order after changing the field Business Data (check/uncheck). If you are getting the message in both the cases, then the problem could be in different area.

Hi All

This is not a warning or error message and just a popup

As soon as the user or myself enters a sales order no in VA02 and also in VA03 this appears and as soon as you press enter even with this popup the entire things goes smoothly

This pop up comes in the initial screen and after this only we are allowed to go to overview

Whether the business item is ticked or unticked this popup appears in VA02 and VA03

I just need to know from where this popup is triggered

We are actually going to VA02 to change the order qty of the items which are already ordered and we are also not adding new information

We are not changing any business data

In VOV8 the said field is blank only that is no dialogue even then the popup is coming

Hi Raja

Have you checked what I told you as there is also option for "Dialog Box for Success Message". So check as I told you and then let us know the outcome.

Hello AA

After checking the above field said by you i am getting a new pop up whenever i save an order and save a delivery or save any thing or any transactions successfully done along with the doc no displayed in the status bar there is a popup that there is order saved/ delivery saved

Anyway thanks for all your inputs

This pop up which i mentioned is surely getting triggered from some configuration settings which i am not able to figure it out?

Any more suggestions welcome

Dear Ramanathan

Make a try as follows:-

- In VOV7, for the field Business Item, have the box checked

- Create a new sale order and save. Again go to VA02 and see how it works

I tried your last suggestion

But the results are the same

Business item ticked or unticked the pop up is same in VA02/VA03

Hi

I have raised this because...few days back somebody has created an id in the name of CRAIG CMEHIL and started posting funny threads and replies. You can check the discussion on this in the forum COFFEE CORNER. Finally moderators have deleted the id and all the posts made by him. My intention is to avoid such happenings in our forum and not to hurt anybody.

Hi Raja,

There is one more Ramanathan Raja in this forum. Are you different from him. Surprisingly Ramanathan Raja is not answering for none of your threads or expressing his concern over this (another user with the same name).

My concern is....if members start maintaining different IDs for different purposes.... the forum will be full of members and less viewers.

Kindly check wheather any User- Exit has been used or not for VA02/VA03.I Think they might have included a subroutine in the user-exit telling that in VA02/VA03 if you enter a Pop-up should come . Kindly check that also .

Hi,

I think the following was happend to your sales order.

1. You create it in VF01.

2. You change the field on item line Level in VF02 for that item line.

3. You change the same field on header level.

The result is that the item line you changed in step 2 will be not updated because the manually change is more relevant.

The pop up just give you the information about this.

Change the information manually in your item linbe and everything is o.k.

Dear Ramanathan

After maintaining the tick in VOV7, please delete that line item and try to create a new line item and see whether now the same error message is coming. As long as the original line item is there, the error message will keep on poping up which sets in background in error message mentioned by you.

To check from where it is coming, go to SE91, input V1 in Message Class and 403 in Number and click on Display.

Just Check:

[header business does not apply to item|]

Refer to last post by Tony.

As per his observation,

in T. Code: VOV8 --> Select your Sales Order Type (say, OR - Standard Order) and go to Details.

Here, under Tab: Transaction Flow --> Field: ProdAttr.messages

You might have maintained entry as "B- Error Message" or "A _ Dialog".

Instead, don't maintain any entry in to this Field, i.e. No message.

In VOV7, if the field Business Item is ticked, then only, changes at item level is allowed in sale order. Since you have indicated that you have unticked, changes at item level is not allowed. Please tick the box in VOV7 and let me know the outcome.

I am under the understanding that if the business item is ticked then the data at header level is allowed to change and unticked means not allowed to change

But in both these cases the pop up is same and there is no problem with any process at all

But i need to answer client why or from where this popup is triggered and i am also keen to know that

Hi Raja

If you want to control the POP-UP then go to SAP EASY ACCESS screen and press "Ctrl+F12" --> select Option -->Option :- there you will found some setting like "dialog Box at warning message" / "dialog box at error message" etc. select the required box as per your requirement. This option trigger the Pop-Up.
