Automatic License Assignment Add-on

Hi all,

Is there an addon that will automate license assignment? my client has 2 professional licenses and 10 users with each user have a descrete username. I want to automate assigning licenses dynamically to users as and when they log in or log out. out of the box, this is being done manually.

SAP Business ONE licensing is based on the "Names User" concept. Therefore you need a separate license per user. You may re-assign licenses manually. However if you automate this then you are bypassing the licensing server and it may not be legal. Most likely in the SAP EULA fine print there is a section that prohibits the programming of a license dispatcher.

Oh! my client will throw B1 out of the window if he has to purchase a seperate license for each user, because cumulatively, each user doesn't have more than an hour's work everyday. each time they work, its for about 3-7 mins only. so, he'll have to hire a fellow whose job is just to assign licenses to users all day long!

there has to be a way out for this. either that.... or explore some other software. this is just not on!
