Deploying SP and Enhancement Packages using Downtime-Minimized

Former Member

hi All,

Please help me to understand, how i can use 'Downtime-Minimized' option for deploying Support Package and Enhancement Package in parallel.

For example, if i am doing SP deployment....after SPAM i will start with Preparation and Import - 1 phases during the system up & running so during this phases the SAINT will locked with OCS processes.

In this case, how do i import the Enhanced Package related components into system?

so the idea is, useing downtime-minimization for deploying both SP & Enhp. Please help me to how i can club these two.

Thanks

Sekhar

Hello,

If you want to import support packages and install Ehp together, you should consider using the Enhancement Package Installer. It's like a small upgrade project. It can integrate these 2 functions together. Using EhP installer is required if you're installing ECC Ehp 4.

If you want to use SAINT to import the Enhancement Packages, you can also set SAINT with 'downtime minimized', but you need to import the support packages after that in SPAM.
