Issue with KM folder permission

Hello SDN,

I have given read permission to one user for a folder in KM.

Still that user is able to edit and save the content of xml file within that folder.

Is there any other setting that needs to be done to avoid this?

Hi YangLee,

Please check if the user has "Super Admin" rights by some role assignment, or assignment over a group.

If he is a Super Admin, he can see all the documents with no respect to the permissions set on the folder/file.

Please be aware that within the standard configuration "Super Admin" rights are granted unless defined.

Hello Kedar,

The issue is still not resolved. I checked the role assignment, and Super Admin is not assigned for this user. Anything else I need to check.

As SDN was infected by some virus, I could not send any reply.

Hello yang,

One question here: Have You assigned content management role to this user?

If it is so, pls try removing this and check again for permissions.

Thanks Kedar,

I mistakenly assigned CM role.

Removed that, and problem is solved.

Hi YANG,

1) Check the permissions for the Everyone group

2) Other Groups permisssion and if any group has Edit rights, then make sure user is not part of that group.
