Hi Usha,

Please use PA40 and in that perform "Change Position/Salary (AE)". This will surely work. Without deleting the pernr you can use it.

Hi

Please run a transfer action on the PERNR where you change his position.

Hi Manjusha,

I think that you have wrongly given the position to a employee and now want to change the same with the correct one. If this is the case then try to go with a new action by giving org re assignment where in you give the Infogroup ( as per your requirement give the infotypes) and run this action .Here you can change the position to the new one.

I think this is one of the easiest way to solve this, but you will get two records for that employee in IT 0001.

Hope this may help you.

Hi,

Do the org. reassignment actions for the employee with the sub type of position change. Then in the action infotype change the position and save the entry. In our company we have done like this.

Good luck

Hi friend

If you have already hired an employee using hiring action and now you want to change his position, then perform pa40 again giving the employee number and the correct date of hiring and execute infogroup. Make sure that you didn't run the payroll for this employee before performing the hiring action again. Kindly let me know if this is not resolved.
