Hello SDN,
very recently we started to use real-time data acquisition (RDA) to load data from table GLPCA. The running RDA daemon is working fine but sometimes the daemon stops because of an overload in the source system or other loading errors.
It would be very exhausting to permanently check Ta. RSRDA whether the daemon already stops or not. Is there any function module to monitor the status of the daemon, which we could call up by process chain? Then we could send alert mails to the administrative people !
Does someone has experience in doing this sort of RDA administration?
Best regards
Martin
PS: We have BW 7.0 SP 16...

Hi Martin,
I am not sure about RDA application but we have Email Alert Message for all our Process Chains.
Any PC fails we get an Email,SMS and INBOX message immediately.
Email through Process Chain has been discussed lot many times in the forum.

Hello Aduri,
many thanks for your answer, in particular
But you can schedule a process failure report as mail to admin
....
How do you do this? Would this be a task for a regularly scheduled process chain?
Many regards, Martin
Updated:
I will try to solve the problem with a program scheduled by a job, which looks at table ROOSPRMSC in source system whether the delta pointer is being updated or not, i.e. the daemon is working or not.

Hi
As far my knowledge goes, there is no monitoring FM based for the same.
But you can schedule a process failure report as mail to admin ,
Hope it helps
