automatic transport package creation and export

Hi,

I'm working on an application that makes modifications on some roles. The requirement is to automatically create an epa out of the modifications. As far as I see it a role is a unit in pcd semantics, and therefore I can only export a complete role into an ept.

My questions is: Are the APIs used by the Tool under System Administration -> Transport Packages -> Import/Export made public? Especially the creation of the pcd object that contains the information of the selected exportable objects (transport package) and also the logic to create the descriptors. If yes, where can I find documentation about the usage of these?

Nothing public that I know of. I have built an XML version of a transport and then used the XML import tool to create it.
