Dear Experts ,
Say we have created one machine as work center CR01 and PM consultant has created same as Equipment IE01 . Now this machine is under maintenance or they have plan for preventive maintenence , so how PP person will come to know that that particular work center not to be loaded for Prod order ? How system can throw error for under maintenance

Not answered. I want system to give termination or error while release or confirming prod order . May be I should look for some user exit.

Hi,
U need to add the PP - work center name in the General date tab of the EQUIPMENT that you create for this work center.
and when u create a work order from PM for a break down, maintain an appropriate system condition in the operation details so that the PP work center will be shown as breakdown ( PM oders will be loaded actually) during your capacity planning.
Hope this helps

Hi,
If you want to prevent a work center being used, you can lock it. If you then try to use a locked work center in a routing or order, you will receive a warning from the system. If you want to use it again, you can remove the lock.
In the CR02 --> Basic data view choose Extras --> Status --> Lock/unlock.

hi
if you have created the maintenance order for equipment (where the PP workcentre is specified in master data) with system condition as not operation.then while creating the production order ,from menu select Goto>Capacity planning table ,where you can see your maintenance order number which implies that mainteanance work is planned during your prodcution days.i think while checking the capacity you will get information about capacity availability
