Could not find installable ISAM


Hi all,

first post on these forums, have had some experience of using CR XI and also managing a CR server system.

I have a report that uses 2 datasources, SQL and data from a Excel spreadsheet.

This report is a scheduled report that runs on the CR server environment. This is a Windows 2000 server with SP4 with Office 2003 installed.

The SQL datasource connects OK.

but when I attempt to connect to the excel data source I get the following error:


Logon failed

Details: DAO Error code: 0xc62

Source: DAO Workspace

Description: Could not find installable ISAM.


i did have issues with Outlook earlier in the year and had to re-install Office, however this was not clean cut as parts of Office system had been corrupted. This was a working report previously and I strongly suspect is down to Office. However given my earlier difficulties with Office, I am looking for other solutions that may fix the issue.

as an aside connecting to this spreadsheet using CR on my local PC works just fine.
