Hi all,
the problem is the following. The system, SBO 2007, is currently in Fiscal Year 2009. We need to create a Budget Scenario for the previous year 2008 - periods are defined for 2008. But we can't because year 2008 is not available in the Fiscal Year list. With SBO 2005 that was pretty simple to handle, all you had to do was to set current a period in FY 2008. But 2007 is different regarding the periods.
How can we do it with SBO 2007 ?
Thanks

Hi Gilles,
Just an idea, although I do not know it is feasible for you, since it might be dangerous in a productive environment: Whats about changing temporally the date of the computer to any date of year 2008?

Hi Gilles
Just in case you are still trying to sort this problem out.
What you need to do is create a DTW import for the 2008 fiscal year. This will then give you the drop down year in the budget scenario window.
eg
Numerator BasicBudget InitialRatioPercentage Name StartofFiscalYear
Numerator Basic Budget Initial Ratio Percentage Project Start of Fiscal Year
2 2 100 Main Budget 20080101
I also found out that if you then delete the row you've just added, and then add a row (without updating in between) it will force a new main budget row. (If you delete the row and then press update, when you come back in the fiscal year has disappeared again).
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Denise

Hi,
The fact is that we were able to enter budget in the past fiscal year in 2005... but now, with 2007 we can't... ! We have to change the system date or to import with DTW which are not suitable workarounds for a simple customer who is a simple user and not a programmer or a technician !!
Could you please find a "more suitable" workaround for this please ??
Or put back the same functionality as in 2005 ?
thanks,
Luce
